just left.

Well Joe just left for basic a week ago. It was really hard but I have 2 good friends that help me a lot. They mean so much to me. Being an army wife is something that is new to me growing up I never thought I would want that but it's something that I actually love the idea of now. It's hard to be away from him for me but also our daughter since she is such a daddy's girl. I honestly wouldn't change it if I could. It's got me thinking about what would happen if someone happened to Joe though. He is the supporter of our family. I have always wanted to be a teacher but because of a certain sister in law I have all that has changed. She has made me think and change all that I believed. I don't like the school system and all that you have to go through in it. I plan on unschooling Aubrey. That is so not anything like being a teacher. Lol my world view has changed for the better but now I have to figure out a new back up plan. It's a scary thing. I have to be the one to teach her everything and if she doesn't do well it's all on me. It's also wonderful because I get to know exactly what she learns how she learns and all that. I'm not really sure what I am getting to I'm just rambling at this point. Eventually I will learn to blog better but for now my rambling is over.

  1. Girl, blogging is for you. As you have seen, I talk myself through things on my blog. I repeat things over and over. I drill them into the ground even because I am upset or excited. And if people WANT to read and give feedback they can and it helps, but if not, at least I feel better. I don't know everything about the military, but IF something did happen to him, I believe you are pretty much set. I'm not saying you want something to happen. I know he is way more important to you guys than any amount of money, but between life insurance and benefits, you should still be able to teach her at home and have time decide if you want to go to school and what for. Sorry I shattered your dream. lol But you can always run your own homeschool. People pay tons for that and you can teach in whatever style you guys agree on. Or you could work in a Montessori school. They train you. A degree isn't required to be an assistant. Think outside the box on education and if you truly live teachjng, there are so many options.

  3. Ha. And typing is easier than writing. My blog has really helped to assuage my fears of unschooling. I look back and see what I have written, my reasons for unschooling, her accomplishments, pictures of all we have done. And my fears start to disappate more and more. I hope we can still talk as much once you leave, but we usually text anyway. If we want to hang together, we'll both do the cookout/Apples to Apples Skype idea or somethimg. lol For real.

I'm still so happy for you. Being an army wife will be exciting I think, especially since it is a commitment you are willing to take on. It will be good. Just keep reminding yourself.

  5. Man, do much to do with Skype. I seriously want to see if we can play games over Skype. lol

No. I never would. People need friends to be excited with them and if that's your dream, I'm excited with you. I would expect my family or friends to be happy I'd we decided to be Missionaries or something. Ha Ha. You are a crazy lady! Just what Joe needs though. ;)

Haha Joe is pretty crazy too so it's a good match. Lol. I'm glad to have 2 people in my life who don't make me feel bad for doing it. I would be excited for you as long as we can keep our Skype life haha

  7. Exactly! If the guys won't try it, we can. I am going to take my Brandi everywhere on my phone. I get a new phone in February, so I will make sure it Skypes well just for you!

Ha Ha. Of course we always would. Jessie would never go to a country without Internet. That would probably be the deal. Even if we had to use our data. lol Oh, the stipulation for you moving away is that you must let me live through you. You will have to tell me all about army life and the things you do so I can get excited. ;) Then I will keep you up on life here in GA. <3
